My Exit Strategy

1.  My exit strategy would be to sell the business when I am offered an amount of money that I deem fit for it.
2.  I have chosen this particular exit strategy because I do not wish to stay with this venture for the rest of my life.  I rather create new ventures.
3.  I do not think my exit strategy influenced my other decisions for this concept.  I haven't thought about my exit strategy until today.  I still want to grow my business as much as possible and see it be successful.

While there is not a whole lot to comment on in your post, you answered most of my whys in your decision. I like the thought that you are maintaining an entrepreneur mindset and want to create new ventures. Make the money and move along, very smart. :-)

I actually chose to keep my business and pass along to my kids. Perhaps because I am older, I like the aspect of security. If you would like to read up on it further, please follow this link:

  2. Hey, Tyler, I like your mentality: "Build it, grow it, move on."
It's safe and lets you explore your other options in life.

I personally would want to have some equity or shares/ownership over the idea, if I were you. (Why?) Because it's your baby, you never really truly let go of your "first." xD
If anything, if you kept a small portion of it, you could still overlook the company and make sure the current people in power don't "mess up the vision." (I'm using a Drake quote.)

Plus, like the previous commentator, you could pass it down to your future children, and they could have something to be proud of too.

  3. This is a very interesting exit strategy and a tad different from what I posted. See, I wanted to continue my venture to grow with another individual in charge when end up retiring. But, I do like the ambition you have to continue with other ventures. There's a lot of risk involved, but when you start one project, you know the process of doing another and another. Here is my post http://stefanent3003.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.html
