A time when I met entrepreneurs was when I visited a new local ice cream store. The store was called Chill-N. The business was created by two college students at the University of Miami. The entrepreneurs created the ice cream in their garage using liquid nitrogen. It was such a unique idea. The best part of all was that the ice cream was delicious!
I enrolled in ENT3003 because I thought it would be the most interesting and beneficial elective I could take out of the choices I was given. I hope to learn more about what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
Hi Tyler! That ice cream shop sounds amazing! I really like the picture that you attached, it looks like the founders of the company really put extra effort into maintaining the theme for scientific theme for their ice cream shop. I'm sure the start-up story of this corporation serves as inspiration for a lot of people, especially students, who want to start their own business or have thought of a new idea from the most unexpected experiences. I don't have much experience with this type of industry (you can read my entrepreneurial story at http://amunozent.blogspot.com/2016/01/my-entrepreneurship-story.html) but it seems like a very rewarding job to revolutionize the way ice cream is made!

ReplyDeleteThe fact that you signed up for this course because of a real life encounter with entrepreneurs is an amazing reason. I can imagine that your drive and dedication regarding ENT3003 and your further entrepreneurial endeavors will not dwindle as a result. It’s great to see firsthand entrepreneurs and what people can be capable. I can imagine that those University of Miami students are prime examples of effective employment of the lessons which we will be learning in this course. Though I was unsuccessful, I once attempted to start a branch of a service organization. If you’re interested you can read about that experience here: http://madiganent.blogspot.com/2016/01/my-entrepreneurship-story.html
